Red Dwarf X

We were involved in the rebirth of one of the most beloved British comedy series, Red Dwarf! Missiles, Spaceships and Explosions were the order of the day on this Grant Naylor production for UKTV channel Dave.

We were required to marry our CG animation and visual effects to the classic Red Dwarf practical model shots and special effects done by Bill Pearson and his team. We built our CG models to the same level of detail as the finely crafted physical models that were used in the film and produced some seamless effects, going beyond anything seen in Red Dwarf before!

The Visual Effects were carried out under David Parvin of Two Rivers Partnership who was Visual Effects Supervisor on our shots.  Deane Thrussell was Director of Photography for the 2nd Model Unit.
