Rolex Awards for Enterprise

Gecko provided animation for the big screen at the famous Dolby theatre which was host to these prestigious awards.  The production was directed by Eddie Frost at Proudfoot TV.  We created a globe based on NASA data images and heightmaps.  The awards ceremony was host to several scientists and astronomers so the accuracy of the sun's position and starmap needed to be correct.

The visuals were required to introduce each award-winner by showing their country of origin.  There were several awards in this category each requiring the globe to spin to the exact location to highlight their specific country.

We're massively excited to hear the awards ceremony was hosted by none other than visionary director James Cameron.
